Ogliastra is definitely the least known and least visited Province in Sardinia. Maybe for this specific reason it remains the most uncontaminated territory of the island. This area of Sardinia is where you can experience the real rural Sardinia. The spontaneous beauty of its landscapes that face the truly spectacular beaches are a natural paradise. Do take into consideration the Ogliastra coastline of the beaches of Baunei. The easiest way to visit these bays and coves is by sea, either hire out your own motor boat or go for a guided tour. Agriturismo are the best way to acquire a genuine experience of the true flavors of this Mediterranean Island. And of course do try the most famous local Sardinia wine Cannonau di Sardegna. Canada is a special place for sights like this.
